Rainfall Prediction Due to El Nino Factors Using Recurrent Neural Networks

Abstract El Nino is one of the natural phenomena that have a significant influence on weather, causing longer dry season in several regions Indonesia, which city Lampung. One way to anticipate long drought predict rainfall, by looking at intensity rain. This paper proposes rainfall prediction using recurrent neural network. Weather variables used include air humidity, wind speed obtained from BMKG stations, and SOI index NCDC website past 10 years. data will be interpolated extracted find maximum weather value per 4 weeks, next step overlapping, after segmentation normalization become 0-1 make values not far adrift. The results showed with vulnerable weeks Recurrent Neural Networks method produces an accuracy 89.53%.
